Registration Now Open for Class 4 of the exquAIro Biomedical AI Bootcamp – And Planning of Class 5 & 6

Following the success of previous editions, exquAIro is proud to announce that the registration of Class 4 of its Biomedical AI Bootcamp are open. This bootcamp is a premier training program designed specifically for clinician-scientists, biomedical researchers, and pharmacologists looking to unlock the full potential of artificial intelligence in healthcare and biomedical research.

The next bootcamp (Class 4) will be held in two intensive blocks:

Bootcamp Class 4
Block 1: April 7th to 24th, 2026; 3 consecutive weeks, 5 days a week, on-site in Groningen
Block 2: August 31st to September 18th, 2026; 3 consecutive weeks, 5 days a week, on-site in Groningen

Who Should Apply?

This bootcamp is tailored to ambitious professionals and researchers working at the cutting edge of medicine and science:

  • Clinicians with a strong research drive, looking to apply machine learning, image recognition, or generative AI to clinical research.
  • Biomedical researchers eager to build essential data science and translational impact skills that accelerate their research.
  • Pharmacologists with an analytical mindset ready to expand their AI expertise for use in drug development pipelines.

There are only 12 spots available, of which:

  • A maximum of 10 are reserved for UMCG-affiliated researchers
  • At least 2 wildcard positions are open to applicants from other University Medical Centers (UMCs) or medical research institutions

A Two-Block Format That Works

Each class spans two full-time blocks of three weeks. The format allows participants to dive deep into technical training, while also having time between blocks to apply concepts and refine their proposals:

  • Block 1: April 7 – 24, 2026, with an additional kick-off day on 23rd of March due to Easter
  • Block 2: August 31 – September 18, 2026

Looking Ahead: Class 5 & 6

exquAIro is also excited to announce the planned dates for Class 5 and 6:

  • Class 5:
    • Block 1: October 26 – November 13, 2026
    • Block 2: January 18 – February 5, 2027
  • Class 6:
    • Block 1: April 5 – 23, 2027
    • Block 2: September 6 – 24, 2027

While registration is now only open for Class 4, applicants are welcome to indicate their interest in Class 5 or 6 using the same registration form.
