exquAIro awarded ANBI status

We are pleased to share that exquAIro has officially obtained ANBI status. ANBI stands for ‘Public Benefit Organisation’ (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling), generally called ‘nonprofit organisation’, a designation granted by the Dutch Tax Administration to organisations committed to serving the public good. The status allows donations to our foundation to be tax-deductible under certain conditions.

Receiving ANBI status marks an important milestone for exquAIro as we continue to expand our mission to create medical breakthroughs with AI across all University Medical Centers (UMCs) in the Netherlands. The ANBI status makes funding projects proposed by participants trained through the exquAIro AI program, as well as funding the foundation itself, more accessible, thereby creating public benefit.

Strenghten collaboration

Over the past years, exquAIro has brought together clinicians, researchers and healthcare professionals through its Biomedical AI Bootcamp and educational initiatives. With the ANBI designation, we aim to further strengthen collaborations with supporters, partners and donors who share our vision for the future of healthcare and AI.

“Education, and research at the frontline of science are essential to ensure AI has a meaningful and responsible impact in healthcare,” says Martin Smit of the exquAIro board. “This milestone helps us continue building an accessible international learning and research community around Biomedical AI.” We would like to thank everyone who supports exquAIro and contributes to our growing community.
